The Lot département is a fisherman’s paradise. There are 1,500km of Category 1 streams, 35 lakes and ponds and 400km of rivers crossing the county, including the Lot and the Dordogne.
A “Fishing Trail” (“Parcours Pêche Passion”) has been laid out in Cahors along a 2,500 meter stretch of river surrounded by nature and greenery, just 500 metres from the campsite.
All fishing techniques can be used.
You can fish pike-perch, beam, pike, carp, roach, barbel, gudgeon and tench.
Boat decks have been set up so you can catch carnivorous fish in a boat. More than 20 fishing areas have been installed to make it easier to access the banks with families.
